1J85 has high initial permeability and high saturation permeability and low coercive force in low-intensity magnetic field.

 

1J85 is generally used in alternating magnetic field. Because alternating magnetization is the eddy current loss inside the material, the smaller the resistivity, the greater the thickness, and the higher the frequency in alternating magnetic field, the greater the eddy current loss and the lower the magnetic properties. Therefore, the material must be made into thin sheets (ribbons), and coated on the surface of the insulation layer, or the use of a certain method to form a surface oxide insulation layer. Usually 1J85 uses Magnesium Oxide electrophoretic coating.

 

The alloy has low resistivity and is not easy to use at high frequency.

 

The magnetism of 1J85 is very sensitive to internal stress and impurities. Formed components must be annealed in protective atmosphere or vacuum to purify the material, eliminate internal stress and improve magnetic properties. After heat treatment, the components will be used to avoid vibration, extrusion, impact and so on.
